Over 400 families homeless after Taguig fire

A massive blaze in Pulong Kendi, Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig, on May 25 destroyed hundreds of houses and displaced 489 families.

Evacuees are now sheltered at the Taguig Integrated School Covered Court and the Sta. Ana Multipurpose Building.

Mayor Lani Cayetano said the city has begun distributing ₱10,000 in financial aid to each family head, alongside food, water, and medicine.

The fire, which escalated to the fifth alarm by 7:05 p.m., was declared under control at 9:12 p.m. (Jonathan Hicap)
