Photojournalist dies while covering Feast of Jesus Nazareno

A photojournalist died while covering this year’s Feast of the Black Nazarene on Friday, January 9, the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) confirmed.

The victim was identified as 55-year-old Itoh Son, who worked for the tabloid Saksi.

Initial reports said Son was found unconscious and without a pulse near the Manila Police District (MPD) Station 5.

He was rushed to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival. (Patrick Garcia)
