Alas Pilipinas reaffirmed its mastery over Indonesia, 25-17, 25-17, 28-26, to clinch the bronze medal in the second and final leg of the 5th SEA Women’s V.League in Ninh, Vietnam on Sunday, Aug. 10.

It was the fourth straight bronze medal and sixth overall for the Nationals, whose performance already showed their readiness for the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand this December.

But they out to improve more if they are to break the stranglehold of Thailand and Vietnam.

The win came after back-to-back losses to Vietnam and Thailand.

Eya Laure and Bella Belen sparked Alas’ run in the fourth set, erasing a 13-9 deficit en route to sealing the win.
