About 19,000 runners are expected to take part in the 2025 Galaxy Manila Marathon this Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

The premier race, the nation’s version of the famed Boston Marathon, is now sanctioned by the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association and also part of the World Athletics Rankings Competition. It is also certified by World Athletics.

Featuring 42K, 21K, 10K, and 5K races, this year’s edition will take the runners on a breathtaking journey through the capital’s most iconic landmarks, notably the Rizal Park, Intramuros, the Roxas Boulevard, and the storied CCP Complex.

“As Asia rises as a hub for sports tourism, Manila is leading the way — welcoming the world with open arms and a runner’s heart,” said RUNRIO President and CEO Rio de la Cruz. “This event is more than a marathon. It’s a movement that showcases the best of who we are as Filipinos.”

Samsung Galaxy returns as the official title sponsor with Galaxy devices engineered to elevate the runners’ fitness and wellness journeys beyond the finish line.
