A 27-year-old man died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a concrete LRT beam post along Marcos Highway in Barangay Santolan, Pasig City, on Thursday morning, July 24.

Remarkably, a pet dog that was inside the vehicle survived the crash and was safely retrieved.

Pasig traffic personnel identified the victim as “Allec,” a resident of Barangay Rosario, Pasig.

The initial report said the victim was on board a Honda City and was traveling along the eastbound lane of Marcos Highway, in front of a gasoline station, when the vehicle suddenly crashed into a beam post at around 5:53 a.m.

Due to the impact, the front portion of the vehicle was heavily crumpled.

The Santolan Rescue Medic Team immediately responded and found the victim unconscious and without a pulse in the driver’s seat. He was later declared dead at the Pasig City Health Office.

Authorities are still investigating the incident. (Richielyn Canlas)
