Beverage brand MILO strengthens its commitment to grassroots sports by launching the “Get Your Child Into Sports” program yesterday at the Alphaland Executive Club in Makati City.
The program offers nationwide summer sports clinics for 18 different sports from April 2 to June 3 in line with the brand’s goal of teaching life values to kids through sports.
Among the sports are badminton, basketball, bowling, chess, crossfit for kids, fencing, football, futsal, golf, gymnastics, ice skating, karatedo, lawn tennis, parkour, swimming, table tennis, touch rugby and volleyball.
“This program is purposive and deliberate in promoting sports to children not only to build health, but also to build confidence, discipline and teamwork in life,” said Willy De Ocampo, Nestle Philippines Vice President.
Volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez was named the MILO ambassador.
“How volleyball transformed me to be who I am right now. Being an athlete trained me not only for the games, but also trained me for life,” Valdez added.
The program also hopes to change the framework of how people view sports in school, reiterating that values can be learned not only inside the classroom but also outside.
