Veteran spiker Royse Tubino has found a new home with Strong Group Athletics, just days after officially parting ways with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
The management announced Tubino’s acquisition in a social media post on Friday, Jan. 2.
“Sweet signing. Strong Group officially welcomes Honey Royse Tubino to the family!” the post read. “The veteran brings leadership and experience to power our young squad.”
Strong Group has yet to specify which Premier Volleyball League (PVL) team Tubino will play for this season. Its affiliated teams are the Farm Fresh Foxies and the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles.
A few days earlier, Choco Mucho expressed its gratitude for Tubino’s one-year stint after deciding not to renew her contract, along with Aduke Ogunsanya, Bia General, and Cherry Nunag.
This marks Tubino’s eighth club team since 2012. The 32-year-old former University of Perpetual Help standout previously suited up for the Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns, Cignal HD Spikers, Army Lady Troopers, United Volleyball Club, Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors, and PLDT High Speed Hitters.
