PANGASINAN — Police have intensified rescue operations in Calasiao following continuous rains and widespread flooding.

Police Colonel Arbel C. Mercullo ordered teams to assist evacuations and secure low-lying areas. Hundreds of households remain affected.

The Pangasinan PNP is working with local government units and emergency responders. Residents are urged to follow advisories and call 9-1-1 for assistance.

Rescue efforts also continue in Aguilar as floods persist.

In Barangay Songkoy, animal rescuer Marinella Palaganas relocated 40 cats to Barangay Manzon, San Carlos City. However, over ten dogs remain stranded in her flooded home.

“Lumalakas na ang bagyo at tumataas din ng tubig kaya kailangan mailikas sa mataas na lugar at mai-transport nang madalian,” said her mother, Marita Palaganas.

On Facebook, Marinella appealed: “Hello everyone, we’re looking for volunteers po to transport the rescues… Lumalakas na po hangin. Baka rin po pwede po kayong mag volunteer… We need more cages rin po asap please. Thank you po!”
