Vice President Sara Duterte has returned to the Philippines and is expected to address relevant matters in the coming days, following her trip to The Hague, Netherlands, where she visited her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently detained at the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) facility.
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) made the announcement through a media bulletin on Thursday night, June 5.
She landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at around 7:40 p.m., according to Duterte’s office.
During her stay in The Hague, she visited the former president thrice alongside her mother, Elizabeth Zimmerman.
She also spent her 47th birthday on May 31 with Europe-based Duterte supporters through an “ICC, send Duterte home” rally at the Laan van Reagan en Gorbatjov, The Hague.
Her visit to The Hague came after a meeting with her Filipino supporters in Qatar.
