Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial candidate Manny Pacquiao is taking his loss in the recent May 12 mid-term elections in stride, saying he’ll keep serving the country.

In his message posted on Facebook on Thursday morning, May 15, Pacquiao, in a very positive tone, thanked those who supported him in his campaign to return to the upper chamber.

The boxing icon-turned-politician also gave a short message to those who didn’t vote for him last Monday.

Tuloy ang serbisyo,” added Pacquiao, who served as senator from 2016 to 2022.

Pacquiao is set to come out of retirement to face WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.

While a return to the ring for the eight division world champion should excite fans and enthusiasts alike, there are questions on how fit Pacquiao is for a competitive fight especially since the last time he fought on top of the ring professionally was way back in 2021.

Pacquiao, then 42 years old, fought Yordenis Ugas and lost in a unanimous decision.
