A man surrendered to the police after he stabbed his seven co-workers to death on suspicion that they were plotting to kill him inside a bakery in Purok Uno, Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City on Tuesday, April 22, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said.
Rizal PPO director Col. Felipe Maraggun said the victims, all employees of the bakery, were sleeping inside their workplace when they were killed. Their bodies were discovered at 6 a.m.
The suspect, who also works at the same bakery, voluntarily surrendered to the police following the incident.
He claimed that his co-workers were planning to kill him, prompting him to kill them first while they were sleeping.
He was brought to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Headquarters in Quezon City.
Police said they are still investigating the incident. (Patrick Garcia)
