Rising bantamweight MMA star Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw will enter his next fight in ONE Championship with all the motivation in the world.

Pacatiw battles Ibragim Dauev in a match between two fighters who could be the future of the division. This happens at ONE Fight Night 28 on February 8 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Lions Nation MMA star and his wife Marj are expecting their first-born son to come this year, and that gives “The Juggernaut” more fire to do better in his chosen field.

“I’m very motivated to win again. I know I’m not only fighting for myself but for my growing family,” he said.

“With all these blessings coming my way, I know I have to be at my best, I have to excel. Of course, this is my career, this is where I get my means to support my family. I know I have to put on a good show each time I go there.”

Pacatiw can’t put his joy into words this time around.

Tragedy struck the 28-year-old’s family not too long ago when he and his wife lost their first baby during pregnancy, but now he’s cherishing the chance to be a parent once more.

“My happiness is immeasurable. This is an answered prayer. We’ve been praying for this for a long time. When we first tried for our baby [in 2023], we miscarried. So we’ve been praying for this ever since, and God answered it,” Pacatiw said.

Asked about how he feels being a first-time dad, Pacatiw knows it will be life changing and exciting to traverse fatherhood and experience all the things that come with it.

“I’m already anticipating a lot of work, but I’m excited to do all that and take care of our upcoming baby. Also, of course, I can’t forget about my wife, I have to take care of her as well, make sure she recovers well,” he said.

“After this fight, now I have to train my body now in staying up late, changing diapers and sheets, now the work begins
