Philippine Men’s Soft Tennis team settles for Bronze in World Championship

Soft Tennis Pilipinas recorded a historic win in the World Championship with 1 Bronze in Men’s Team Event at the 17th World Soft Tennis Championships in Anseong, Korea on Monday, Sept. 9, (Philippine Time).

The men’s Soft Tennis Team composed of Joseph Arcilla, Dheo Talatayod, Patrick Mendoza, Adjuthor Moralde II, Samuel Nuguit and Sherwin Nuguit with Coach Wenifredo De Leon and Michael Enriquez, Team Manager Jaekoo Yoon.

This is the first time that Soft Tennis Pilipinas had a medal in Team Event in World Championships making it a historic win for our PH Men’s Soft Tennis National Team headed by PSTA President Lt. Col. Bobby Moran.
The current men’s team has been included in the list of Soft Tennis Pilipinas’ World Medalists joining Josephine Paguyo’s Bronze in Women’s Singles (1995), Joseph Arcilla’s Bronze in Men’s Singles (2011) and Bien Zoleta’s Bronze in Women’s Singles (2015).
Soft Tennis Pilipinas is  the only country in SouthEast Asia that delivered a medal out of 31 participating countries with 380 athletes in this World Championships Tournament.
