FFCCCII honors Michelle Dee

The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), recently honored Miss Universe Philippines 2023 titleholder Michelle Dee.

Said FFCCCII President Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro, “As a fellow Filipino of Chinese descent, we take immense pride in celebrating the accomplishments of Michelle.”

“Michelle embodies the value of what I describe in Filipino as ‘Dugong Tsino, Pusong Pinoy’ — cherishing her ethnic Chinese heritage while being an exemplary Filipino citizen contributing to Philippine progress.”

Meanwhile, FFCCCII Vice President Jeffrey Ng highlighted how Michelle continues to dedicate her time to various civic activities.

Note Michelle’s late grandfather Dee K. Chiong was Vice President of FFCCCII while her late granduncle Dee Hong Lue was also VP of FFCCCII.

Michelle’s late granduncle “Lumber King” Dee C. Chuan was pre-war Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce President, civic leader and 1920 China Bank founder, while her great-great-granduncle Dy Han Kia was Philippine lumber industry pioneer.
