CAMP TIRSO H. GADOR, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A 55-year-old barangay kagawad was arrested Wednesday by the police for illegal selling of petroleum products in Barangay Nabannagan East, Lasam, this province.
Lasam police chief Police Major Reynaldo Viernes identified the suspect as Anthony Galicia.
Viernes said they received a report that Galicia has been selling petroleum products without authority.
Police hatched an entrapment operation which led to the arrest of the suspect.
Seized from the suspect were plastic and bottle containers with diesel and unleaded gasoline valued at P7,500, and P100 boodle money.
Galicia and the pieces of evidence were taken to the Lasam police charges. Appropriate charges will be filed against the suspect.
