ZARAGOZA, Nueva Ecija – A 65-year-old store owner was killed while a 14-year-old boy was wounded when two motorcycle-riding gunmen shot them in Barangay Concepcion at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Julie Ramos died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds in the body while the boy, who sustained bullet wounds in the abdomen, was rushed to a hospital in Cabanatuan City.

Police report showed that Ramos was busy arranging merchandise inside her store when the two suspects alighted from the motorcycle and pretended as customers.

Upon getting closer to the store, the suspects drew their firearms and shot Ramos several times.

“Nadamay lang po ‘yong binatilyong bumibili sa tindahan nang nag-bounced back sa pader ng tindahan ‘yung ilang bala,” Police Staff Sgt. Arnaldo Gabbac, Jr., investigator-on-case, said. (Ariel P. Avendaño)
