Finally, Rhian Ramos has broken her silence on the controversy that’s been swirling around her and friends Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio in relation to the serious illegal detention and torture complaints lodged against them by her erstwhile driver.
In an interview with “24 Oras,” Rhian admitted that the issue has been… well, stressful.
“Well, honestly, syempre, sino ba naman matutuwa? And I can say, yes, it’s in a way stressful pero I’m also quite confident na the truth will, ano naman, will set us free,” she said displaying her signature calm-yet-witty charm.
She’s staying mum on the details for now, as they’re waiting on legal advice.
“I just can’t give so much details about everything because we might be waiting for a possible case or whatever. So, I can’t give too many details, but yeah, in the end, the truth will set us free,” she explained.

Rhian also clarified her cheeky Instagram comment on Michelle’s post that read, “May your angpao be filled.”
Netizens had a field day with this because, if you recall, Michelle had filed a qualified theft case against Rhian’s former driver, over a stolen angpao containing “sensitive photos.”
While her comment may have been playful, Rhian stressed the seriousness of the matter:
“I think where that’s coming from really is not that it’s a funny matter. Kung ano naman ‘yung totoo, ‘yun ‘yung lalabas eh. And that’s why I feel confident na things are going to be okay.”
During her long silence, Rhian admitted many people urged her to defend herself—but she chose to zip it, trusting that timing is everything.
“It’s just not the right time right now. And you know, honestly, a lot of people are asking me to defend myself. The more important thing right now is not to defend myself because I don’t need to,” she said.
Previously, the driver claimed Michelle, Rhian, and Samantha, among several others, coerced him into talking about the missing angpao. The trio’s lawyers denied the allegations.
