Willie Revillame is officially back where he shines the brightest—front and center, hosting a game show.
Note that the same led him to huge success after several years of playing sidekick in TV and movies.
This comeback follows his recent, unsuccessful senatorial run.
But don’t expect any bitterness from Willie. He’s at peace with how things turned out.
“Kasi hindi talaga siya para sa akin,” he said. “Kasi kung para sa akin yun e, papalarin at papalarin tayo kahit anong paninira gawin nila sa atin.”
Is he closing his doors to politics for good?
“Sa ngayon, oo,” he retorted. “Ang gulo ng politika. Gusto mo lang naman makatulong pero talagang napakahirap. Siraan ng siraan imbes na magtulungan.”
So why launch a game show at this point in his career?
“Honestly, gusto ko lang magbigay saya at pag-asa sa ating mga kababayan. Kasi, ako, wala na akong mahihiling pa personally, sobra sobra na ang binigay na blessing sa akin. Ngayon, gusto ko lang na kahit paano e, makatulong din sa libo-libong Pilipino na nangangarap ng maayos na buhay.”
He continued, “Naranasan ko maging mahirap at alam kung paano ka iginugupo nito. Naaalala ko nga sabi ko noon, kahit kaunting tulong lang para maka-angat, okay na ako. So, yun din ang ginagawa ko ngayon. Maqgbigay ng kaunting tulong, pag-asa, kaginhawaan.”
According to Willie, his new game show titled “Wilyonaryo” is a vast improvement from past iterations.
“Ibang level na nga ito,” he maintained. “Kumbaga, nag-innovate na tayo dahil pinagsama natin ang mundo ng game show at online gaming para hindi na lang sa loob ng studio may mananalo. Binibigyan natin ng fair na chance ‘yung mga kababayan natin na nasa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa. Pupunta lang sila sa website namin na wilyonaryo.com para mag-register at mag-avail ng tickets, at may tyansa na silang mapili at manalo ng hindi lang isa, dalawa, o tatlong milyon, pwedeng mas malaki pa.”
“Wilyonaryo” will introduce the public to new, exciting games.
First off is “Wilpick,” a raffle-style game that lets anyone from Luzon, Visayas, to Mindanao try their luck and aim for life-changing prizes.
Approved by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), “Wilpick” gives Filipinos across the country the chance to win millions without even leaving their homes.
“Dati kasi diba, kailangan na sa studio ka para makasali, ngayon hindi na. Kahit nasa bahay ka lang at nanonood, pwede ka na maging milyonaryo.”
The mechanics are simple: players must first register at wilyonaryo.com. Once registered, they can buy tickets using their chosen combination. They will select four non-repeating letters from A to Z and one color from twelve options. The player with the correct combination and sequence of the four letters and one color wins millions.
There are three raffle draws every day, from Monday to Friday, and for just 60 pesos a ticket, participants will have three chances to win.
There are also consolation prizes for players who match some of the letters and colors revealed in the boxes.
