Strong Group Athletics has secured another veteran player ahead of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season after announcing the acquisition of opposite spiker Ara Galang.
The management disclosed this on a social media post on Thursday, Jan. 8, just a day after also landing former Most Valuable Player Mylene Paat.
“Built different(ly). All-around excellence, calm under pressure, and a winner’s mindset — Ara Galang is strong! Welcome to the family, Ara!” the post read.
Galang, the Best Opposite Spiker of the 2025 Invitational Conference, came from the now-disbanded Chery Tiggo Crossovers. She is expected to provide depth and experience to whichever Strong Group-affiliated team she suits up for.
Strong Group currently has two affiliate teams competing in the PVL — Farm Fresh and ZUS Coffee.
Other early acquisitions by the group include Imee Hernandez, Remy Palma, Chie Saet, Bia General and Royse Tubino.
