Star Magic artists are set to take a commanding presence at this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, headlining a lineup that spans horror, drama, comedy, romance, and coming-of-age stories—giving audiences a full slate of holiday viewing options.
Among the most anticipated entries is Regal Entertainment’s latest installment of “Shake, Rattle & Roll,” which features a powerhouse ensemble of Star Magic talents: Ivana Alawi, JM Ibarra, Fyang Smith, Dylan Yturralde, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Karina Bautista, Angelica Lao, Raven Rigor, Loisa Andalio, Kaila Estrada, and Richard Gutierrez.

The long-running franchise returns with promises of suspense and spectacle, bringing together some of today’s most bankable young stars.

Drama takes center stage in “Call Me Mother,” anchored by Brent Manalo, River Joseph, Esnyr, Klarisse de Guzman, Lucas Andalio, and John “Sweet” Lapus. The film delves deep into the many dimensions of motherhood and familial bonds—territory familiar yet always stirring for Filipino viewers.

Gerald Anderson, Bela Padilla, and Charlie Dizon topbill “Rekonek”, a timely holiday entry that explores relationships and reconnection in unexpected circumstances.
Star Magic talent is also present in “Bar Boys: After School,” with Klarisse de Guzman, Emilio Daez, and Benedix Ramos joining the ensemble, adding charm and energy to the film’s returning universe.

Zaijian Jaranilla stars in “Im’perfect”, a Nathan Studios offering that examines self-acceptance and the quiet complexities that come with embracing one’s flaws.

Meanwhile, “Unmarry” brings together Angelica Panganiban, Kaladkaren, and Zanjoe Marudo in a narrative centered on relationships and rediscovery—a fitting watch for the reflective mood of the season.

Rounding out the festival’s romantic offerings is “Love You So Bad”, starring Xyriel Manabat, Reign Parani, Zach Castaneda, Ralph de Leon, Desiree del Valle, and Bianca de Vera, a co-production from Star Cinema, GMA Pictures, and Regal Entertainment.
