After six months, Young Creatives Challenge (YC2), has named its winners, March 21 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

More than 400 artists from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao joined the tilt as organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the support of Sen. Imee Marcos and Philippine Creative Industry Development Act (PCIDA).

In a speech, Marcos shared how she started discovering talents years back via the Metro Manila Popular Music Festival, also known as the Metropop.

She also mentioned her involvement in the Experimental Cinema of the Philippines in the early ‘80s, which produced film classics like “Himala,” “Oro, Plata, Mata.”

Marcos believes that the YC2 program is a great opportunity to discover more talented Filipinos and to foster their growth.

The grand prize winners in each category took home 1 million pesos each.

Second runner-up winners earned 300,000 pesos, while the first runner-up winners received 500,000 pesos.
