SEEMINGLY only too eager to quiet down critics who have been nagging her incessantly on her supposed ostentatious display of wealth despite the ongoing crisis, Heart Evangelista took to social media to announce her newest philanthropic effort.

She tweeted, “I heard having a tablet or computer is a requirement for online classes so…For those who don’t have tablets for online school please dm me on IG… I will be giving away as much tablets as I can.”

It was a hit, of course. Who wouldn’t say no to a freebie, right?

But Heart’s effort it seems is not enough for bashers who continue to malign her.

Not that she’s actually losing sleep over it.

She said, “The world is already suffering so much and as I educate myself more and gather my thoughts about what I would like to share with my followers I don’t need any kind of hate and negativity to add up to it all.”

To those not in the know, apart from posting photos of her wearing lavish designer items, Heart has been active helping those in need particularly in Sorsogon where her husband, Chiz Escudero, is incumbent governor.

Heart’s decision to give away tablets is related to the Department of Education’s declaration it would push through with School Year 2020-2021 via “blended/distance learning approach,” which include the implementation of online classes using laptops, tablets, mobile phones.
