RHIAN Ramos is back in the country after a six-month stay in New York where she took up short courses in film and acting.

Of all the things she learned while there, Rhian is most excited to share how she fell in love with comedy.

“’Yung tinake-up ko was comedy improv tapos, well, na-enjoy ko siya… Isa siyang genre na hopefully mas lalo ko pang ma-explore lalo na sa TV or sa movies,” she said.

While in New York, Rhian also got to attend the 2019 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival where her film, “Empty by Design,” had its first showing.

Also starring Osric Chau and Chris Pang, “Empty by Design” is the directorial debut of Filipino-British screenwriter and filmmaker Andrea A. Walker.

“It was nice to be part of a Hollywood premiere, premiere night. It was an interesting experience with paparazzi and everything. Very exciting,” Rhian related.

She noted how it allowed her to meet like minds.

“I made a lot of friends in L.A. Also ‘yung Asian- American community kasi grabe ‘yung suporta nila du’n sa pelikula namin,” she shared.

Though she did have fun in New York, Rhian maintained it actually made her miss local showbiz.

“I’m very happy to be back, marami akong natutunan while I was away… para siyang way din ng pagde-detox siguro na nasa malayong lugar ka (pero) naaalala ko lang din what I love about being here.” (RAMPADOR ALINDOG)
