“We want to forward our struggle for the Cordillera people’s genuine regional autonomy and end the control and plunder of our resources and the militarization of our communities.
More than 250 of us from the Cordillera will join the Lakbayan,” ayon kay Abie Anongos, isang Ibaloy woman leader na nakabase sa Baguio City.
“About 17,000 of our people will be displaced if the proposed Jalaur Mega Dam is constructed. Contrary to what the National Irrigation Authority claims, there was no genuine consultation and participation of the Tumandok regarding the project,” dagdag ni Aileen Cataman, isang Tumandok leader mula Capiz.
