Thirteen passengers were injured early Tuesday, Aug. 25, when a jeepney allegedly lost its brakes and triggered a chain‑reaction crash along Legarda Bridge toward Ramon Magsaysay Avenue in Manila.
According to the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MDRRMD), the runaway jeepney slammed into another, setting off successive collisions involving a motorcycle, an SUV, and a truck.
Most of the victims sustained abrasions and bruises, with no major injuries reported.
Emergency responders rushed all passengers to nearby hospitals for treatment. (Shane Quiachon)
