BALIWAG CITY, Bulacan – A 37‑year‑old teacher was taken into police custody after allegedly stabbing a 14‑year‑old student to death in Barangay Subic before dawn on Monday, June 29.
Lt. Col. Eisbon L. Llamansares, Baliwag police chief, said the girl was rushed to Baliwag City Hospital around 3:30 a.m. with stab wounds to the neck.
Despite medical efforts, she was declared dead on arrival.
Investigators learned that the suspect himself brought the victim to the hospital along with her mother but was immediately arrested and detained.
Police have since conducted an ocular inspection of the crime scene and requested forensic processing of evidence.
Authorities confirmed that charges are being prepared against the teacher, while Col. Jay B. Baybayan, acting director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said the stabbing case is being prioritized to ensure accountability.
