Miguel Tabuena placed the Philippines on the international golfing map once again after securing a full-time status on the LIV Golf League roster for the 2026 season.

The four-time Asian Tour champion will compete throughout the season as a wild card starting this week at the LIV Golf Adelaide at The Grange Golf Club in Australia.

The first round is being played at posting time

It marked a milestone for Tabuena, who became the first Filipino to achieve the feat after an impressive rise through The International Series.

The breakthrough came after his huge win at the International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus late last year, which powered him to third place in the season standings.

Last week, he debuted as a substitute for the 4Aces GC in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“This is really huge for me. My goal last year was to win an International Series event and I did it,” Tabuena said in an interview with LIV Golf.

“That win opened up so many opportunities, including playing bigger events like the Saudi International, and it also gave me a real chance to push for promotion,” he added.

Also earning full-time LIV Golf cards for 2026 are International Series and top performers from the Asian Tour that include Scott Vincent, Yosuke Asaji, Richard Lee and Bjorn Hellgren.
