Paeng Nepomuceno rolls out charity bowling event for Cebu relief efforts

Sports icon Paeng Nepomuceno continues his mission of giving back to the community after gracing a golf for a cause bowling tournament held recently at the at Paeng Nepomuceno Midtown Bowls, Robinson Place Ermita.

Dubbed as Councilor Mon Yupangco Cup Bowling Tournament, the event was held to aid victims of calamities in Cebu.

Apart from Nepomuceno, a bowling Hall of Famer with six world champions under his belt, also in attendance during the awarding ceremony was Manila 5th District Councilor in whose honor the tournament.

The winners received trophies and medals from Yupangco who was helped out by Manny Inserto, Finance Officer Lay-go, and ComChest Corporate Secretary Atty. Ed Canlas.

Kevin Tan emerged the biggest winner in the event after ruling the Open category as he edged out Jester Balceda and Jerry Co.

Beth Co, on the other hand, reigned supreme in the women’s division, while Sean Vinta topped the Masters event. There, Toto Abear (1st runner-up) and Rene Martinez (2nd runner-up) also reached the podium.

Vinta also shone as well in No Tap (9-pin strike), where Tan and Abear were his closest pursuers with Co and Jester Balcerda clinching both the 2nd runner-up finishes.

In Low Score (for beginners), Lindo Lay-go emerged victorious, while Rhea Canlas and Joseph Buquing were runners-up. In High Score (for experts) Abear, Vinta, and Inserto completed the winners.
