Star Magic recently turned its spotlight on two of its newest discoveries, Robbie Jaworski and Angelina Cruz—fresh talents navigating the early, exhilarating, and often disorienting moments of rising fame.
Note both are showbiz royalty.
Robbie is the son of Mikee Cojuangco and Dodot Jaworski.
Angelina is daughter to Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano.
Though still newcomers, both have already caught public attention through their compelling performances in the much-talked-about series “The Alibi”.
And as early as now, they’re beginning to understand that stepping into the world of showbiz is both a dream realized and a reality that constantly surprises.
Robbie reflected on the early days of their journey—how the world he once watched from afar looks different now that he’s standing inside it.

“Initially, akala ko acting and hosting were about being quick, mabilis mag-isip, but it’s a lot more than that. It takes a lot of preparation, in mind, in body,” he shared, acknowledging the discipline behind the glamour.
For Angelina, “The Alibi” served as a turning point, offering her lessons she didn’t anticipate.
“I expected it to be the same as filming a movie because I filmed a movie na with DonBelle before, and I found it very chill. But filming a serye, it is very different—fast-paced, intense,” she said, recalling how the rhythm of a teleserye demanded a new level of stamina and adaptability.
In the series, Robbie and Angelina play young love interests—siblings to Paolo Avelino and Kim Chiu’s characters. Their roles mirror the contrast between privilege and simplicity: Robbie as Edward Cabrera, raised in wealth and influence; Angelina as Katherine, the younger sister from a humbler home.
Robbie found pieces of himself in Edward’s world.
“I used a lot of inspiration from my personal life… Yung upbringing ni Edward—he’s the nepo baby working in the family business. Their family has a hotel, and he became the manager. That balance of being humbled enough to know na marami ka pang hindi alam—malaking bagay ’yun,” he said.
Angelina, meanwhile, approached Katherine through emotion and memory.
“I really had to dig deep into her character—her being protective of her family, her love for her sister. I have two sisters, so doon ako kumapit,” she shared.
Outside the set, both continue to nurture the passions that keep them grounded—Robbie as a MYX VJ and host, Angelina as a young musician sharpening her craft.
With “The Alibi” opening more doors of opportunity for them, both are stepping into their futures with a mix of curiosity, courage, and youthful sincerity.
For Angelina, acting is a path she’s eager to claim.
“As of now, my focus is really acting… I want to try acting,” she said with quiet conviction.
And Robbie, learning quickly that passion is the true compass in showbiz, summed it up simply: “You can truly succeed in it if you enjoy it.”
