After 15 years in the Philippine music scene, Gracenote, composed of Eunice Jorge (vocals, keyboards, guitars, violin), EJ Pichay (drums), Jazz Jorge (bass), and Tatsi Jamnague (guitars), returns with a statement-making new album dubbed “Walang Makakapigil.”
According to the band, the record is a testament to their resilience, evolution, and enduring love for music.
From the first note, the album’s alt-rock core shines, infused with elements of pop-rock, synth-rock, and electropop, a sound honed over years of experimentation.
“May iba’t iba kaming pinagdaanan na genre pero ngayon, naturally, ang lumalabas sa amin bilang collective is a combination of what we did before, and what we have learned along the way. Ito yung pinaka comfortable at natural sa amin at this point,” says Jazz.
The title track, “Walang Makakapigil,” embodies the band’s spirit of perseverance.

Eunice shares, “With us being here still, it’s not even about destiny, it’s about resiliency. We love what we’re doing, and we’re very passionate about it. And we aim to keep doing what we’re doing, to continue, to evolve, and create more music in the years to come.”
The album also features collaborations with Yael Yuzon (Spongecola), Zel Bautista (December Avenue), and their producer/manager Darwin Hernandez.
The journey to complete the album mirrored its title: filled with challenges, last-minute changes, and multiple revisions.
EJ recalls, “Natandaan ko yung pagpili ng album title. Minsan mayroon pang song na may last minute changes.”
Jazz adds, “May mga plannings na naiiba kasi mare-realize namin na mas mag a-align na ‘ito nalang yung decision na gawin natin.’”
Even the title track went through nearly four versions, as Eunice notes: “Kahit anong gawin mo sakanya—okay siya, okay yung flow.”
The album’s core message of determination is deeply personal.
Eunice explains, “It’s about different experiences; it’s something we want to share about how life teaches us. Kung meron kang gustong abutin, walang makakapigil sayo. Sana ma-inspire nito yung listeners to keep going sa anumang circumstances.”
Tatsi urges fans to hear the album in full to grasp its full story, while EJ emphasizes embracing all of life’s seasons—joy, loss, and challenges.
Jazz reinforces the mantra: “Walang makakapigil sayo kung gusto mong gawin yan basta masaya ka.”
