Kiray Celis has issued an apology to those offended by her viral prenup photos taken in Japan with her fiancé, Stephan Estopia.
During a recent gathering with media, the comedienne acknowledged the criticism from netizens and bashers who found some of the photos inappropriate, particularly the one showing her sitting on top of a vending machine at a popular tourist spot in Japan.
Many online users felt the pose was disrespectful to Japanese culture, with some calling it unbecoming and insensitive for someone visiting another country.

Kiray clarified, however, that they had secured proper permission from Japanese authorities before shooting.
“We had permission from the authorities, so no harm was done. There was nothing to worry about, and we didn’t violate any laws,” she explained.
Even so, she still apologized to those who were upset, noting that she learned valuable lessons from the experience.
“To our fellow Filipinos and OFWs, especially those in Japan—I’m really sorry,” she said. “I thought it was nothing. My friends thought it was nothing. But for others, it turned out to be a big deal. Next time, I’ll be more mindful of the things I do.”

Kiray added that if she were given the chance to redo the shoot, she would do it in a more careful and considerate manner.
Outside of the prenup controversy, Kiray has been keeping herself busy with her growing beauty and wellness business, Kiray’s Brand.
Aside from her Hot Babe Black and Hot Babe Brown products, she recently introduced new additions: Hot Babe Green, a wellness drink designed to promote rest, recovery, and balanced living; and Skin Vibe, which now includes two new items—the Singova Bleaching Scrub and Pwettura Bleaching Cream.
