Carlo Yulo flaunted the power, finesse and precision all at the same time on his way to another breathtaking performance.

The Paris Olympics double gold winner was once again on top of the world after claiming the gold medal in the men’s vault final of the 2025 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Saturday, Oct. 25, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Motivated to recover from his bronze medal finish in his pet event floor exercise just last Friday, the 4-foot-11 dynamo once again stood tall after garnering an average of 14.866 points after registering 15.200 points in his first vault and 14.533 points in the second.

The 25-year-old Yulo once again bested Armenian Artur Davtyan, the 2022 world champion in vault after he only averaged 14.833 points for the silver, followed by Ukrainian Nazar Cherpurnyi who registered 14.483 points to claim the bronze

Finishing outside the medal race were Italy’s Tommaso Brugnami (14.666), China’s Mingqi Huang, AIN’s Mukhammad Iakubov (14.183), AIN’s Daniel Marinov (14.150), and Japan’s Kazuki Minami.

His performance was also reminiscent of his impeccable showing in the 2024 Paris Olympics where he also topped the same apparatus along with the floor exercise.

It was a redemption of sorts as, despite being the favorite in the floor exercise, Yulo settled for the bronze after only registering 14.533 — a shade under eventual gold medalis Jake Jarman who had 14.866.

This also marked the second gold of the Leveriza, Manila native after winning his first in the world championships’ vault way back in 2021 Kitakyushu edition in Japan.

It was his seventh overall podium finish in the annual global meet.
