The Biñan Tatak Gel Arellano Lady Chiefs netted their second win in two days, blasting the Caloocan AM Spikers with a 25-12, 25-14, 25-18 win in Week 4 of the 2025 Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) on Thursday night, Oct. 16, at the Arellano University Gym in Legarda.

Laika Tudlasan was on target once again, firing 13 points to headline Biñan’s fourht straight win in only 76 minutes of play to own solo second spot at 5-1 just behind the unbeaten Dasmariñas City Monarchs with a 5-0 slate.

She drew solid coverage from Samantha Gabrielle Tiratira, Marianne Lei Angelique Padillon, Heart Villaflores and Kacelyn Punzalan with nine points each as Biñan proved its stature as the last season’s runner-up in the upstart league founded by also MPBL chairman Manny Pacquiao.

Biñan’s lone loss so far came against reigning champion Quezon Tangerines, priming up for a gigantic duel against the mighty Monarchs on Saturday in Marikina.

Catherine Domasig also added eight in Biñan’s balanced offense following a 25-12, 25-8, 25-14 win over Marikina for the MPVA’s back-to-back game days at their home gym in partnership with Arellano in Manila.

Rhea Manalo scored seven for Caloocan, which remained winless in six games of the eight-team, double-round tourney backed Mikasa, Asics, Spurway Enterprise, Gerflor, Smart Communications and XIV Apparel.

Meanwhile, Negros also scooped up a back-to-back victory at the expense of Marikina, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20, to stay lurking outside the Final Four at 3-4 just behind the Pasay Lady Voyagers (4-2) and the Tangerines (4-1).

Andrea Caparal tallied 15 points while Gelah Lopez and Jehiel Moraga churned out 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Negros that previously pulled off a 19-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-13 reverse sweep of the winless Caloocan AM Spikers to dodge a massive upset.

Brigitte Martinez, with 15 points, once again was the lone warrior for Marikina, which tripped to 1-4 at sixth place in the MPVA organized by the Volleyball Masters of the Philippines.
