Abiera makes all 8 field goals as Arellano beats San Sebastian

Arellano University got a perfect outing from Renzo Abiera and scored a massive 82-66 win over San Sebastian on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the NCAA Season 101 men’s basketball tournament at the San Juan Arena.

So sharp and focused was Abiera he made all his 8 field goals to finish with 19 points.

Ian Cuajao and Christian Ricio both scored 12 points for San Sebastian but to no avail as the Golden Stags dropped to 0-2 in the standings

Arellano coach Chico Manabat lauded his charges for playing basketball the right way.
“Pinakamaganda dito e nagttrabaho lahat ‘yong mga bata at ‘yong (mga) coaches,” Manabat said after steering his team to 1-1 for the season. “Sometimes, hindi’ yong madaming panalo, ‘yong tamang panahon para manalo talaga ‘yong tinatrabaho nila,” he added.

The Chiefs also bounced back after dropping their opening assignment at the hands of defending champion Mapua.
