Here comes the Titan.

The PBA Board has finally announced the formal entry of the Pureblends franchise, which will now carry the name Titan Ultra Giant Risers on Wednesday, Oct. 1 during the PBA preseason press conference at the Shangri-La the Fort in BGC

Its governor, Emilio Tiu was also introduced to the members of the press as the team representative to the PBA board.

Tiu, whose team will feature the potent lineup of the previous team NorthPort Batang Pier, vowed that Titan Ultra is not only in the PBA for the long haul but also with the intention to be competitive.

“We want to stay for another 50 years,” said Tiu, adding the target for the team is to create a championship-contender team within two to three years’ span.

“We know we are a new team we have to develop. You cannot be a champion team in one year. It should be within two to three years we will develop through drafting,“ he added.

Still it is undeniable that the Giant Risers, with Joshua Munzon and Calvin Abueva leading the charge, can give teams a run for their money in the upcoming PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup.

“I have to admit, they’re still young, but we have a complete lineup. We will give the strong teams a fight,“ said Tiu.

Asked what pushed Pureblends to make the big leap to the PBA this time, Tiu said it was just the perfect timing as the league celebrates its golden anniversary.

“With the 50 years of the PBA, which we feel will be an impact, we want to come in also with an impact product, that is why we introduced our new product, which is the Titan Ultra,” said Tiu.

For starters, Titan ultra is a men’s dietary supplement — a new product still set to be launched by Pureblends — a company that offers products ranging from food industry like coffee, juices and dairies to cosmetics, beauty and wellness products.

“The first idea is to use the old product but it was already in the market. Kilala na eh,” said Tiu. “Maybe this might be helpful for everybody. ‘Yun ang observation namin.”
