Gerald Anderson has come out to firmly deny rumors linking him to volleyball star Vanie Gandler of Cignal PH.
According to Ogie Diaz’s report on his YouTube channel, the actor personally called him to clarify the issue, insisting that he and Gandler have never met in person.
Anderson, Diaz added, went on to reiterate that he has never spoken, texted, or called Gandler, and that the speculation connecting them is entirely baseless.
Note that Gandler is accused of being the third party that ultimately caused Anderson’s split from girlfriend Julia Barretto.
“Gerald wanted to make it clear that Vanie Gandler has nothing to do with his separation from Julia,” Diaz shared. “He explained that this rumor has been around for a while but it’s simply not true. He has only watched volleyball games, but never with the intention of following or pursuing Vanie.”
Anderson also admitted that the breakup with Barretto was due to something else, which he chose not to disclose. He took responsibility for the split, saying he was at fault, but emphasized that Gandler was never involved.
Diaz added that Anderson feels “crushed” by the ongoing gossip and hurtful online comments. The actor reached out to him specifically to stop the spread of misinformation, hoping to protect Gandler from unwarranted scrutiny.
