Bianca Pagdanganan fumbled on her last 10 holes and carded a 3-over-par 75 in a disappointing finish to end up at joint 29th place in the Kroger Queen City Championship in Maineville, Ohio on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Starting the round three shots off third-round leader Charley Hull, the two-time Olympian appeared in control on her first eight holes with birdies on Nos. 1 and 7, and an eagle 3 on the eighth.
But the Filipina standout – to the shock of everyone – double bogeyed the par-4 ninth hole.
That started her meltdown as she bogeyed four straight bogeys from the No. 12 before falling into another bogey on the 17th to finish with a four-round total of 278.
She had earlier rounds of 67, 70 and 66.
Still, it was her best finish so far since placing 26th at the MEXICO Riviera Maya Open last May.
Her performance earned her $15,426 (around P800,000).
Meanwhile, Hull held steady and took advantage of Jeeno Thitikul’s final-hole putting meltdown to capture the title.
Thitikul — a stroke ahead after Hull bogeyed the par-4 17th — four-putted the par-5 18th from about 50 feet, missing a 5-footer and a 3-foot comebacker. Hull two-putted from about 30 feet, making a 2-footer for the victory.
The English player finished with a 268 total after rounds of 68, 65, 67 and 68, one shot ahead of Thitikul, who finished the round with identical 68 for 269.
