Classes and government work suspended on August 26 due to bad weather

Due to expected severe weather conditions, all classes at all levels in public and private schools, as well as government work, are suspended on Tuesday, August 26, in several areas across Luzon and Visayas, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced on Monday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned of heavy rains brought by a low pressure area (LPA), prompting precautionary measures.

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced the suspension with a lighthearted remark:  “Ayon sa PAGASA, hassle ang panahon bukas. 4 na araw kayong pahinga, dagdag pa ng isa.”

  3. Quezon
  4. Rizal
  5. Laguna
  6. Camarines Norte
  7. Camarines Sur
  8. Albay
  9. Sorsogon
  10. Catanduanes
  11. Masbate
  12. Northern Samar
  13. Eastern Samar
  14. Leyte
  15. Southern Leyte
  16. Bulacan
  17. Nueva Ecija
  18. Pampanga
  19. Batangas
  20. Cavite

The public is urged to remain vigilant and take precautions.
