Police rescued a 16-year-old student who was caught in possession of P204,00 worth of shabu and a bladed weapon at a Parañaque City school on August 19.
The police said the case of the student from Parañaque National High School in Barangay San Dionisio, was a rescue operation to protect him from further exposure to illegal drugs activity.
Police reported that Senior Master Sgt. Michael Loneza was conducting police visibility inside the school campus when the school principal reported to him a student believed to be carrying suspected drugs.
Loneza immediately responded and, with the assistance of school officials and the guidance counselor, discovered one kitchen knife and a blue plastic bag containing 30 grams of shabu worth P204,000.
The police said the student was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for proper intervention and guidance.
