Collegiate stars Alyssa Solomon and Lams Lamina achieved another feat in their young, promising careers ˗˗ albeit, this time, outside the court ˗˗ after finally earning their diplomas at National University Tuesday, Aug. 19.
With both having a decorated stint with the Lady Bulldogs in the UAAP women’s volleyball, Solomon and Lamina, who are also teammates in Alas Pilipinas, surely made their loved ones more proud as they completed their academic duties.
Opposite hitter Solomon finished her degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing Management, while setter Lamina completed her Tourism Management course.
Last May, their fellow Lady Bulldogs in Bella Belen, Erin Pangilinan, and Sheena Toring also earned their respective college diplomas days before UAAP finals duel against the De La Salle Lady Spikers.
Three of them were drafted in the Premier Volleyball League with Belen as No. 1 pick by the Capital1 Solar Spikers.
Before they went in separate ways, all of them were part of NU’s historic two-peat win after leading the Lady Bulldogs to a sweep victory over the Angel Canino-led La Salle.
Solomon is reportedly seeking to play overseas.
Lamina, meanwhile, decided to stay with NU as it goes for a three-peat bid in Season 88. She is anticipated to lead NU alongside Vange Alinsug and Shaira Jardio.
