All set for Bay Shore Fishing Tournament in Subic

SUBIC BAY, ZAMBALES – Fishing enthusiasts, tourists, and marine sports advocates will converge here from August 8-10 for the inaugural staging of Subic Bay Shore Fishing Tournament 2025 at the San Bernardino Fishing Site in Subic Bay’s Freeport Zone.

The groundbreaking tournament marks the first organized shore fishing competition that aims at promoting sustainable fishing practices while showcasing the area’s abundant marine biodiversity.

The event promises to attract both local and international fishing enthusiasts to one of the country’s premier fishing destinations.

The tournament, organized by Fish’n Town in partnership with Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority has the support of Columbia Sportswear, Smart Communications, Jollibee, The Lighthouse Marina Resort, Cherrylume, Pagcor, Urban Deli, Royal Duty Free, Maple. Additional support comes from various localbusinesses and tourism establishments throughout the Subic Bay area.

The tournament is organized in close cooperation with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and its Chairman, Eduardo Aliño, who envisions transforming Subic Bay into the fishing capital of Northern Philippines by boosting responsible outdoor tourism and showcasing its vibrant marine resources.

“This tournament is part of our larger mission to stimulate sustainable tourism and position SBMA as a prime destination for sport fishing in the North,” said Aliño.

This tournament represents more than just a fishing competition – it’s a celebration of Subic Bay’s natural beauty and its commitment to sustainable marine tourism.

The tournament emphasizes responsible fishing practices and marine conservation, aligning with Subic Bay’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
