The exploits of top Filipino players in the World Pool 9-Ball Championship, set this July 21 to 26 at the iconic Green Halls in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be shown live on One Sports+ and Pilipinas Live, with catchup viewing available on One Sports – thanks to Cignal TV.

Johann Chua, Carlo Biado, and Rubilen Amit banner a strong Filipino delegation aiming to seek glory in the world’s richest nineball tournament featuring the top 128 players around the globe.

Chua made it to the semifinals last year, while Biado is determined to recapture the throne he won back in 2017.

Also representing the Philippines in the world stage are James Aranas, Bernie Regalario, Jefrey Roda, Patric Gonzales, and AJ Manas, among others as they take their shot at winning the coveted trophy and the $250,000 top prize.

Fedor Gorst is determined to win back-to-back crowns after winning the World Pool Championship in the same grounds last year.

But hot on his heels are Joshua Filler of Germany, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz of Spain, Jayson Shaw of Great Britain, Aloysius Yapp of Singapore, brothers Ko Pin Yi and Ko Ping Chung of Chinese Taipei, and the legend Shane Van Boening of the USA.

Only four Filipinos have hosted the World Pool Championship –  the great Efren “Bata” Reyes in 1999, Ronnie Alcano in 2006, Francisco “Django” Bustamante in 2010, and Biado in 2017.
