President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared June 24 as a special non-working day in the city of Manila for its celebration of its 454th founding anniversary.
Marcos made the declaration through Proclamation No. 925.
It aims to give the people of Manila the chance to participate in the city’s celebration and activities.
“[I]t is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Manila be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the President said in the proclamation.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, by authority of the President, signed the proclamation on June 11, Wednesday. (Betheena Unite)
