The Suwon KT Sonicboom concluded their 2025 season after bowing to the league-leading Seoul SK Knights, 69-57, in Game 4 of their best-of-five semifinal series in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Monday, April 29.

Despite gaining a momentum with a 77-64 Game 3 victory, the Sonicboom started slow, falling to a 25-51 hole before making a late run that was not enough, allowing the three-time champion Knights to win the series, 3-1, and return to the finals to face the Changwon LG Sakers

They also made it to the finals in the 2022 and 2023 editions before missing the championship round last year.

One of the key stars of the LG Sakers is former UP player Carl Tamayo while SK Knights has another ex-UP player in Juan Gomez de Liano in their roster.

Rookie of the Year JD Cagulangan tallied five points, four rebounds, one assist, and four steals in 35:52 minutes of action.
