The Suwon KT Sonicboom came out huge in the second half and kept their finals hopes alive with a 77-64 win over the Seoul SK Knights in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Sunday, April 27.

Eager to erase a 0-2 deficit in their best-of-five semis series, the Sonicboom shifted their gears in the third quarter where they ballooned their lead to 30, 64-34, which proved enough to take the fight out of the Knights.
After cutting Seoul’s lead to 2-1, Suwon aims to level the series against Seoul in Game 4 Tuesday, April 29.

Despite committing five turnovers, JD Cagulangan still proved to be a good stabilizer, finishing with seven points, two rebounds, six assists and two steals in 28 minutes of action.

So far, Cagulangan continued to prove why he’s the Rookie of the Year as he averaged 7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals in his last three games in the semis.

His fellow former University of the Philippines Maroon Juan Gomez de Liano did not see action for the Knights.

Meanwhile, Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers go for the clincher against the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus in Game 4 Monday, April 28.

Seizing a 2-0 lead, Tamayo and the Saker are eyeing to earn a spot in the finals for the first time in a decade.
