The 2025 PBA All-Stars festivities are likely to be shelved completely after talks with a province which could host the festivities fell through.
Commissioner Willie Marcial revealed that he was actually in talks with a local government unit to be the host of the mid-year extravaganza but conflict of schedule prevented the two parties from reaching an agreement.
“Yung all star malamang mawala kasi yung kausap nating probinsya hindi sila pwede sa mga dates,” said Marcial on Wednesday, April 23.
This year’s All-Stars was supposed to happen in Davao in the first week of May but security concerns postponed the plans, leaving the league cramming for potential hosts.
Marcial tried to push back the All-Stars to a later date, after the midterm elections, likely on May 16 to 17, but with no hosts available, the league had no other options but to scrap the plans for the annual festivities.
Despite the cancellation, Marcial assured that the players will still get their trust funds.
