Far Eastern University shoots for a third straight victory when it tangles a dangerous Adamson squad in the UAA Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Saturday, March 8.

Coming off back-to-back victories, highlighted by a dominant three-set win over the University of the East last Wednesday, the Lady Tamaraws all have the momentum ahead of the 3 p.m. clash against the Lady Falcons.

Also worth watching is the clash between the Lady Warriors and the La Salle Lady Spikers at 1 p.m.

Though currently on a hot run, FEU mentor Tina Salak warned her charges of complacency, stressing the need to always keep their best foot forward regardless of their opponent.

“Malaking motivation ‘to sa mga bata, especially our coming game is against Adamson, and it’ll be a good game,” Salak said of FEU’s win over UE.

“So we have to stay locked in, kailangan namin mag-stick do’n sa goal namin, siguro madadapa ng konti pero tuloy parin,” she added.

FEU, for one, is under no illusion to expect an easy fight against Adamson especially that the team is surely raring to get back on track after a tough four-set defeat to the University of Sto. Tomas despite the 28-point explosion from Shaina Nitura.

Meanwhile, La Salle deputy coach Noel Orcullo is not taking UE lightly despite its winless record and even with the Lady Spikers coming off a four-set victory over University of the Philippines.

“Yan ‘yong lagi namin sinasabi sa mga bata. Kahit maraming nawala, nakita nyo naman lumalaban,” said Orcullo.

“Hindi po pwedeng balewalain ang UE dahil every game laban sila.”
