Carl Roy Relivo stamped his class in the recent 2025 Asian Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation (ASJJF) ASEAN International tournament in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Relivo, who represents For the Art Fightclub, beat Project Life Style Manila’s Marco Carmona on points to clinch the gold medal in the Adult White Weight class.

“Happy to win this one! Sana nasa condition po tayo palagi para swertehin po sa mga susunod pa laban,” said Relivo. (Happy to win this one! I hope I maintained this shape, so I’ll be lucky in my next fights)

John Arrozal and Juan Cullamco settled for bronze medals in the largest jiu jitsu competition held in the country.

Bullyville Fight Team’s David Miranda, on the other hand, topped the Male Adult Purple Open Weight category after edging Lut Ezekiel Carpio in their gold-medal bout that brought delight to the crowd.

Miranda, 22, also snared gold in Male Adult Purple Middle as he outclassed Nicolas Ceriola of Deftac Six Blades.

Meanwhile, Checkmat PH’s Raymundo Ortega outclassed Deftac’s Reyson Obias to snare the gold in the Male

Master 30 Purple Open Weight group.

Ortega, however, failed to complete a golden double after losing in the finals of the Male Master Purple Light class.

In all, the Philippines copped 63 golds in the 72-class tournament which was mostly joined by the Filipino MMA practitioners.
