Ex-cop, 4 cohorts yield liquid shabu, kush in Pampanga sting

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga – A former policeman was arrested along with his four cohorts during a buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of liquid shabu and kush, all worth P480,000, in a drug den in Barangay Pulong Cacutud, here, on Saturday.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA-3) Director Christian Frivaldo identified the arrested suspects as former Senior Police Officer 2 Frederick Torres; Jay Angeles Nugid, 43; Jennifer Angeles Nugid, 37; Arlene Payacda Campos, 40; and Rona Asebron.

PDEA-3 agents conducted the entrapment against the Torres’ group in the alleged drug den located at Block 5, Lot 38 Nouveu Residence in Barangay Pulong Cacutud.

Seized from the suspects were three vials of liquid meth or shabu worth P240,000 and kush, a hybrid type of cannabis with an estimated value of P240,000, and assorted drug paraphernalia, according to PDEA report.
