Drug peddler killed, P1.2-M shabu seized in Pampanga sting

A suspected drug peddler was killed and more than P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu was seized Saturday during a buy-bust operation in Villa Barosa, Barangay Dolores, San Fernando, Pampanga, police said.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen Valeriano de Leon identified the slain drug suspect as Den Wil Mallari , a resident of Barangay Calantas, Floridablanca.

Mallari shot it out with joint operatives of Pampanga Police Intelligence Unit- Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Bacolor Police, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 3, and City of San Fernando City Police after sensing that he was transacting with a poser-buyer.

He died while being treated in a nearby hospital.

Confiscated from Mallari were 23 sachet of suspected shabu worth P1,292,000, one .45-caliber pistol; two pieces of P1,000 bill which were used as marked money, one hand grenade, two caliber .45 slugs, six pieces of 9 mm slugs and six  live bullets of  caliber .45, and one  tactical bag.
